A new state-of-the-art residential development on Highway 60 is creating a great deal of buzz in the Huntsville area and beyond.

Laketree Residences is a new 84-unit apartment community slated to welcome residents in the spring of 2022 and available rental suites are already starting to fill up.

“Things are going extremely well so far. We rapidly passed the 10 percent leased stage in just days of the first offering,” says MCRS property manager Kirsten Dale. “A lot of people in the community are extremely excited about it because there simply isn’t anything like this in the Huntsville area today. In fact, there aren’t really any apartment communities like this that exist outside major cities.”

Kirsten says they’ve had a phenomenal market response to the property’s many amenities, which include a fitness room, main lobby lounge, and social room.

“Extra parking, bike racks and storage lockers are great add-ons which make this, quite frankly, the rental home to choose over many others in our area,” says Kirsten.

Rents on the apartments currently start at $1,495 and include both heat and water/sewer but Kirsten says they anticipate an increase in rental rates as the occupancy options continue to dwindle.

“We can only say, first come and first served at this point, and encourage those interested to reach out at their very first opportunity,” she says.

To support this new project, MCRS Property Management has partnered with several Muskoka-based trades including Greystone Project Management in service to not only their mutual client, Lionston Holdings, but also in service to the Huntsville community.

Lionston is a Canadian, family-owned company based out of Toronto with aspirations to advance into Muskoka. Similar projects are planned for other parts of Muskoka in the years to follow.

Laketree features a mix of one and two-bedroom suites with over a dozen floorplans affording spacious interiors, five appliances, and modern fixtures and finishes, says Debbie Dale, founder of MCRS Property Management, which has well-situated offices just opposite Laketree

“We envision Laketree to be a spectacular, trend-setting rental community for 84 fortunate tenants and their families,” she says. “A collection of distinctive on-site amenities meets an unbeatable location at Laketree Residences.”

The plans for Laketree currently feature an on-site fitness centre, an expansive outdoor patio, storage lockers, bike storage, and elevators. A large parcel locker was recently added to the plans to accommodate the shop-from-home wave and provide a secure setting.

“From a cozy and inviting front lobby to the architect-designed and contemporary apartment suites, every inch of Laketree Residences was designed with style and convenience in mind,” says Debbie.

Laketree also features numerous fully accessible homes for those who need it, as well as private balconies for many suites.

Move-in dates are not yet established but the current project schedule anticipates early 2022 as a solid target. Reservation opportunities are available now with a fixed move-in date to be set ninety days in advance based on construction progress.
