MCRS held the first “MCRS Clients Only Info Webinar” on April 5, 2022, and the event was well attended with over 25 condominium properties represented. Guest Speaker Sonja Hodis of Hodis Law provided an educational session explaining how to identify common elements from the condominium units and how exclusive use common elements are still common elements. The requirements to follow the law and ensure there is an indemnification registered on title to a condominium unit before drawing a conclusion that a change, alteration or addition to a common element is actually legal and transferrable to the next owner was a great takeaway. The Q&A was a great opportunity for MCRS Directors to gather some one-on-one chat time with a condominium law expert and MCRS was thrilled to support the info share.
