Woo Hoo!! Winter in Huronia! Toboggans, snowmobiles, skates, hockey, snow tires, hats, sleigh rides and red noses galore. An ideal time to reflect and give thanks as we enjoy hot cocoa, snowflakes, and warmth from a fireplace.
In a fast paced twelve months, CCI Huronia hosted nine Zoom webinars, one 2-day course for condo directors and an introduction to condos course. While COVID brought challenge and uncertainty, the pandemic also revealed a fast revitalization, strong determination to reach those in need of support in condominiums and a keen willingness to dare to experiment with virtual education. We have much to be thankful for in accomplishing so much in a one-year period and having benefitted from such kind support. New to CCI? Your CCI Huronia board of directors spent hours planning educational events, creating informative newsletters, polishing our social media presence and fielding a large array of questions from members and condo enthusiasts. When you add in the board meeting hours where the meeting of amazing condo minds takes place, and the ideas flow so freely, your volunteer board is definitely a wonder to behold. The generous, sure footed CCI spirit shines in all that CCI Huronia tackles.
Our CCI Chapters right across Canada with national board executives, national council and others are the very backbone of CCI success from coast to coast with long term support from our members and sponsors. Being a national organization for several decades is an accomplishment that needs to be appreciated and we are in awe of the cumulative success from Nova Scotia all the way to BC. Alberta is rocketing ahead in membership and Ontario is home to not one but eight chapters. If you consider what it takes to pull it all together year after year, the awesomeness sparkles brightly. CCI Webinars are springing up across Canada following the CCI Huronia examples in leaps and bounds which is a game changer, to say the least.
Our busy Executive Administrator, Geri Loukes, of AdminDesk is our first point of contact for all things CCI Huronia and she has shone in her position again this past year. Without her organizational skills, we would be scrambling at times to host webinars with well over a hundred attendees and Geri just pulls it all together quite easily. Geri – thank you. To our thousand plus 2021 attendees, thanks for joining, adding to the excitement and passing the info forward.
CCI has initiated an LCCI designation to acknowledge leadership within CCI and application processes are now underway. The LCCI designation is open to any CCI member who provides goods and/or services, through annual employment time and volunteer time, to or within the condominium industry. The designation is open to any particular profession or trade. To the many who have already applied, and to those who are in the midst of applications, thank you for recognizing the value of CCI and the place it holds in the evolving condominium sector. For those who are just hearing of the LCCI designation now, here’s the scoop: https://cci.ca/about/lcci-designation

Enjoy the season and stay warm!
